Devin again – just wanted to share this inspirational story from Andrew, a long-time CSF customer who totally cleared up his skin following the Clear Skin Forever Master Guide recommendations.
Andrew has been active on the CSF Forum, getting lots of personalized help from me (and other forum members) on his journey to clear skin.
With that, let’s hear from Andrew!
Andrew writes on the CSF Forum:
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share what a truly amazing experience this whole process with Clear Skin Forever has been!
I suffered from all types of acne as many others do, and luckily I stumbled upon the CSF book and decided to buy it. Turns out it was one of the best purchases of my life. However, it wasn’t a transformation that happened overnight. It was a long and difficult transition and at many times I felt like giving up when I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. I was eating very close to the perfect CSF diet by avoiding certain foods and making sure to eat vegetables, fruits, fermented foods, probiotics, supplements, etc. Yet, still I wasn’t getting the results I wanted to see.
An interesting and wonderful thing happened when I went on vacation. I followed the diet less than I did at home and wasn’t taking any probiotics/supplements, but somehow my skin completely cleared up. I still ate generally healthy but definitely not as well as I would have at home, and yet I finally saw the results I wanted.
That’s when I realized that yes, the diet part is important, but the psychological part is just as important. I’m a high school student taking AP classes, so I think the stress played a huge part in the problem. On vacation, I was completely relaxed, and my skin completely cleared up.
Thanks to CSF I feel much better and have more energy due to a much better diet, and I’ve learned to enjoy life more and relax despite all the work I have at school. I understand that many of you are busy people, but there’s always room to relax for at least a little. The best thing that helped me was simply starting to walk for 30+ mins a day. It’s amazing how good you’ll feel just walking in nature.
Also another tip is not to look at yourself in the mirror. I know this is extremely difficult, but learning to not rely on a mirror actually made me way more confident and helped my skin clear up because I wasn’t constantly worried about it. [Listen to Devin’s podcast episode 002 – Mirror Habits for more on this!]
I also do nightly meditation and think of things that boost confidence such as, “My skin is awesome”. It’s crazy how much improvement you can get from positive thinking. Also simply smiling and laughing as much as possible can greatly improve both your mood and your skin. Ever since I learned how important this psychological aspect is, my skin has been completely clear, and my quality of life has greatly improved.
Now, I’ll leave you all with some words of motivation. I understand how you feel, it may feel like nothing is working at times and you just want to give up, but trust me, you’ll win the battle in the end. If you’ve done damage to your body for years with modern wheat, processed dairy, and other stuff, it’ll take some time for everything to heal, so just stick to the program. Eat as healthy as you can, avoid personal products with bad chemicals in them, and just enjoy life. Enjoy nature, enjoy learning new things, enjoy this process, and enjoy whatever else makes you happy.
I think the most important thing is not feeling pressured by this diet. Definitely try your best to stay to it, but it’s ok to veer off every now and then to feel rewarded. Remember that in the long run, you’re not just clearing up your skin, but you’re improving your entire health!
You’ll be thankful when you’re much healthier than your friends when you’re older. Work hard at this now and you’ll feel extremely proud of what you accomplished in the end! Good luck!
